Our Story

Over Three Decades of Craftsmanship. Recognition That Lasts.

Walls of Fame was founded in 1992 as a courtesy service for our public relations clients — a way to help the people and organizations we represented preserve and celebrate their achievements in a lasting, meaningful way. The response was immediate, and what began as a thoughtful extension of our agency soon evolved into a business of its own.

Today, Walls of Fame is a nationally recognized supplier of custom award plaques, recognition displays, and commemorative presentation pieces, serving associations, corporations, healthcare professionals, publishers, sports teams, and marketing executives across the country. Our clients honor leadership, celebrate milestones, preserve legacies, and strengthen brand identity. We create the pieces that make those moments tangible.

What has remained unchanged for more than three decades is our standard of quality. Every plaque is handcrafted one piece at a time using museum-quality lamination, archival matting, fine hardwood moldings, and meticulous finishing techniques designed to endure for generations — not simply for presentation day, but for a lifetime on the wall.

Combining traditional craftsmanship with modern production technology, we bring precision and care to every order — professionally packaged for safe delivery to clients nationwide.

From Washington, DC to clients across the country, we still believe what we always have: Life is better when you accentuate the positive.

Ted Chanin

Co-Founder, Managing Partner, COO

Ted is our master of all trades and everything technical. When not seeking out new and better ways to provide our clients top-of-the-line products and services, Ted leads our production department from design to fabrication and manages our production team bringing our products to market. With a finance background, and originally from Philadelphia, Ted stayed in Washington, DC after attending the University of Maryland. Ted is a news buff, a foodie and a sports enthusiast. When not working on our latest designs and fabrication, you'll find Ted rooting for the Philly's and the Eagles during their seasons, smoking brisket and fall-off-the-bone tender ribs on his smoker or traveling the country with his motto, "no drive is too far for good barbecue!”

Our work is designed to create additional value and lasting brand recognition — and a few smiles.

Pro Bono Work

We lend our talents to organizations making a lasting difference in people's lives — from breast cancer research to autism advocacy.

We were proud to orchestrate the first "Boots N' Bling" event for The Brem Foundation to Defeat Breast Cancer, founded by Dr. Rachel Brem, Chief of Breast Imaging at George Washington University. ABC Design & Promotion provided all branding, design, and public relations for the event, which grew into an annual Montgomery County fundraiser supported by an esteemed partnership with iHeartRadio.

We also served on the committee for the "Martina McBride Concert Gala" at Strathmore Music Hall in Bethesda, Maryland, which raised thousands of dollars for CSAAC — Enhancing the Lives of Individuals with Autism in Montgomery County.
